Clint Carvalho - The Birdman of Las Vegas

Clint a 34 - year veteran of exotic bird training and the entertainment industry is currently the CEO of Top-Bird Attractions & Entertainment Inc... Clint also is the founder of Top-Bird Parrot Rescue and Rehabilitation.

For the past 25 – years Clint has created the most unique and entertaining animal shows and attractions in the world. He has taken his animal shows and attractions to a level that the industry didn’t think possible.

In 1989 Clint was asked to perform a command performance for the Queen of England, at that time no other animal act had ever performed before the Queen.

What makes Clint stand out above the rest in his field? Clint sells the feeling that his animals and performers are having a good time and that it doesn’t feel like an animal show or attraction. Most of Clint’s competition isn’t from animals shows but song and dance shows. Clint’s level of quality has to be unmatched to beat out an all human show or attraction. Clint believes that when possible his attractions and shows must be self funding. Clint has proven shows and attractions that all rate in the top five above attractions and shows that cost millions to produce.  Clint’s attractions and shows have been reported to be the “biggest bang for their buck” says the media.

CBS writes “Clint is the greatest animal trainer in Hollywood”.  The statement was made because of Clint’s one of a kind signature behaviors and quality and care he displays with his animals.

What makes Clint’s shows and attractions second to none? First Clint creates each show or attraction especially for the venue. Clint understands that every venue has its own needs. Selling cookie cutter shows or attraction are great for the producer but do little to help the venue. Furthermore Clint doesn’t hire animal handlers to be performers. Clint believes that most animal handlers have an already preconception on how an animal for should be cared for, and should not be on stage trying to be a performer. Clint believes training a person that already has people great people skills and no opinion on animal training or care is the better way to go. The result, a great translator on stage and your animals are handled just the way they were    trained.

Clint doesn’t get his parrots from breeders but receives only abuse or unwanted parrots. Clint first gives the parrot a new name to identify its self with. Then Clint goes through a thorough training process to get to know his new friend. Since parrots all have different personalities just like humans. Clint believes that he must get to know each parrot individually so that he can fix their problems and cater to their needs. Clint has created dozens of bird attraction and shows so that the birds can pay for their selves. He does not want them to become caged animals but rather go out and socialize with humans on a regular basis. Since parrots cannot be brought in from the wild every parrot has been hand raised by a human during the beginning of its life. That means humans have imprinted themselves on them, but a human also took away their trust. The key here is a human, not all humans. That means with Clint’s knowledge and understanding any parrot can be rehabilitated back to trusting humans again.

Clint has created an educational program that is second to none. Clint combines education with entertainment. Clint likes to call it edutainment. Clint’s edutainment program is great for the animals and brings the community that much closer to the venues being represented. Clint performs this program for over 20,000 children and adults annually.
