The Alexis Brothers were born in Portugal to a Family of circus performers, the duo went on to win numerous awards throughout Europe.
Here are some of the Awards:
In 1979 the brothers were invited to compete in Cirque de Domain Paris France where they went on to win, and then in the same year (1979) the boys also won the "Year of the Children" in Monte Carlo Circus Festival. 
Win after win the Alexis went on to win the prestigious "Silver Clown" in 1990 Monte Carlo Circus Festival as well. The unstoppable Marco & Paulo subsequently also won "Artist of the Year"  in Germany (1992) and then again, first prize in the Circus Festival in Riva del Garda Italy (1995)

The Alexis Brothers then came to America in 1984 to perform with "The Greatest Show on Earth/  Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey for 2 years before moving on to Busch Gardens as a starring attraction.  

All of these opportunities in America would finally change their lives when they joined Cirque du Soleil, the duo would then perform with Cirque du Soleil for the next 5 years before settling into the Show "Mystere" in Las Vegas for the next 23 years. As "Cirque Royalty" the Alexis Brothers forged amazing choreography that would set them up for life.
